The search is on! We’re looking for the best, the most creative, the most thoughtful and the most enthusiastic dance photographers in the world. We’ve designed a competition to help you showcase your dance photographic talents internationally, and thanks to our sponsors are awarding prizes to shoot some of the best dance in the world; tango in Argentina, flamenco in Spain and whirling dervishes in Egypt… and very much more.

Dance Photographer of the Year is an international not-for-profit photography competition designed to nurture your photographic talents and showcase the way you see dance. We’re a competition run by people who understand and love dance and photography for people who understand and love dance and photography and our illustrious judging panel will knock your socks off.

Categories and Prizes

Join us to win some fantastic prizes, to get more exposure for your work or simply to challenge your creativity. We’ll be giving great exposure to as many talented photographers as possible. This year’s competition, which has the theme “Feel Like Dancing” is comprised of three individual categories and three group categories. Have a go! Even if you don’t win the fantastic travel prizes you’ll gain experience and have lots of fun.
